For the past six years, the iMakr store has provided a home in central London for the all latest developments in 3D printers, scanners and advanced materials--in effect, a permanent trade show for 3D technology!

In this coming month from the 26th of February, we will host a weekly series of product demonstrations showcasing some of the hottest new tech on the market. We invite you to join us every Tuesday evening at 6pm for wine, refreshments and 3D technology.

The series commences on Tuesday, 26 February, with a demonstration of advanced 3D scanning technology from Artec. We’ll explore the advantages of structured light scanning and talk about how it has the power to transform your processes, save you time and money and deliver improved results over more traditional methods. Artec scanners are finding a wide range of applications within industries as diverse as orthopaedics, aeronautics, dentistry, architecture and prop making. You’ll see live scanning in action on a variety of objects and even on people.

On the 5th of March, iMakr  features the latest advancements in full colour augmented deposition technology from US based manufacturers Rize. Boasting a range of innovations in material development, support removal, isotropic strength and CMYK printing, Rize is poised to revolutionise prototyping, tooling and small batch manufacturing. We’ll be joined by Rize VP of Marketing, Julie Reece, who will guide us through the capabilities and advantages of the Rize product range.

On the 12th of March, we cater to the uninitiated in offering a general Introduction to 3D Printing and Scanning. You’ll experience a full overview of the technologies available on the market today. We’ll show you how 3D printing works, how 3D designs are created and how 3D printing and scanning are used across multiple industries.

The 19th of March is dedicated to heavy metal with a demonstration of the ORLAS Creator Metal 3D Printer at iMakr’s head office in Whitechapel. This is a one of a kind opportunity to see industrial grade metal 3D printing in action. The Creator is specifically designed for small and medium businesses and represents a major breakthrough in short run metal manufacturing. Able to print in a wide variety of metals, including stainless steel, cobalt chrome, titanium, aluminium and even precious metals, the ORLAS Creator presents unique advantages for the dental and medical fields, jewellery, aerospace and other manufacturing based engineering.

And finally, the 26th of March features SLA printing on the B9 Core. The Core series of printers offer high resolution printing at incredible speeds. B9 resins are also renowned in the industry for their dimensional accuracy and consistent curing. We’ll be joined by B9 Creations’ CEO Shon Anderson, who will guide you through the capabilities of their machine, their materials and their applications in jewellery, model making, prototyping and manufacturing.
