About the softwares you can discover
During the course, you will have a first approach to different softwares, some would suit students whereas others would be perfect for professionals. We determine these targets according to the price but also to the possibilities and the application these softwares allow. However, the course we offer is completely bespoke and you can choose which one you would rather study (we are also here to make recommendations if you don't know which ones to pick)
Here is a list of the softwares we recommend:

Licenced softwares

  • Solidworks : it is a 3D Design Software destined for professionals who create specific pieces such as mechanisms: Solidworks allows precise printings with measures. 
  • Rhino: This software can create, edit, analyze, document, render, animate, and translate NURBS curves, surfaces, and solids, point clouds, and polygon meshes. There are no limits on complexity, degree, or size beyond those of your hardware.
  • AutoCAD : Autodesk’s Digital Prototyping tools help engineers and designers experience their 3D CAD designs virtually, before they’re built. By connecting every phase of your design process through a single digital model, our Digital Prototyping solutions let your teams test and optimize 3D CAD designs, helping to drive innovation, achieve higher quality, and speed time to market.
  • Z Brush : it is a digital sculpting and painting program built within an elegant interface. ZBrush offers the world’s most advanced tools for today’s digital artists. This software is optimized for speed painting: it requires a graphic tablet in order to draw organic forms but does not includes measures. This Software is all about creations, the renderings will be linked to decoration. 
  • Maya:  This software helps you tackle challenging character creation and digital animation productions. Get powerful, integrated 3D tools on a robust, extensible CG pipeline core.

OpenSource Softwares

  • SketchUp : This software did not sacrifice usability for the sake of functionality. You start by drawing lines and shapes. Then you can push and pull surfaces to turn them into 3D forms. Finally, keep going and stretch, copy, rotate and paint to make anything you like. 
  • Meshlab : it is an open source, portable, and extensible system for the processing and editing of unstructured 3D triangular meshes. The system is aimed to help the processing of the typical not-so-small unstructured models arising in 3D scanning, providing a set of tools for editing, cleaning, healing, inspecting, rendering and converting this kind of meshes.
  • Blender: it is a free and open source software. Blender features a powerful new unbiased rendering engine called Cycles that offers stunning ultra-realistic rendering. It also makes creating, transforming and editing your models a breeze. Also, with Blender’s new rendering engine the possibilities for materials are endless.
  • Sculptris: This software is ideal to get started. Its features are easy to learn, even for someone with no experience in digital art, yet robust enough for creating base models that can then be refined in other applications, such as ZBrush.
